-x + 2y = 8

y = 1/5
x + 3y = -7
x + 3(1/5) = -7
x + 3/5 = -7
x = -7 - 3/5
x = - 35/5 - 3/5
x = - 38/5

-x + 2y = 8
-(-38/5) + 2(1/5) = 8
38/5 + 2/5 = 8
40/5 = 8
8 = 8 (correct)
solution is : (-38/5, 1/5)
