Can you explain the resistance and friction with wooden skis that were used by hunters a long time ago verses the modern skis now? Like the difference in friction and resistance.
The friction and resistance between two surfaces depends on the structure of the two materials. Some materials have a smooth surface and therefore minimum resistance (new plastic materials) and some natural materials like wood have rough surfaces and provide a lot more friction and resistance to movement.
