Is it worth it to join National Honor Society and if it would get too overwhelming, would you be able to quit?

It looks good on college applications!
I’m in the National Honor Society at my school, and it’s super fun! It’s definitely worth it to me, as I received some honors scholarships (not just based on academics). Yes, you’d be able to drop it, if you so choose to do so.
