2. The first shogun of this period was Tokugawa Ieyasu.
3.It was based in Edo( Tokyo)
4.At first, he did, but when the Europeans looked down on their traditional Japanese beliefs and got involved in local politics. To keep foreign influence at the minimum,he made a closed country policy in which almost all the ports and borders were closed.Only Nagasaki was open and to only Dutch and Chinese settlers.
