America's fusion of many different races, religions, and nationalities makes it important to protect human rights because of what America is founded on, with the second article of the American Declaration of Rights and Duties of Man being: all persons are equal before the law and have the rights and duties established in this Declaration, without distinction as to race, sex, language, creed or any other factor.
