A fitness fanatic swims 40 lengths of his pool per day. After 5 years, he has swum 1825km. How long is his swimming pool in metres? (Assume that there are 365 days per year.) Please show working.

In one day he swims 40 lengths 
In 5 years he would have covered = 5 * 365 * 40 = 73000 lengths 

Now 

73000 lengths = 1825 km 
1 length = 1825 / 73000 km 
1 length = 0.025 km 
1 length = 25 meters
